Marshall’s Robyn Walker Named Editor of Major Management Communication Journal

Robyn Walker, assistant professor of clinical management communication at Marshall’s Center for Management Communication, has been named editor of The Journal of Business Communication (JBC).

The Journal of Business Communication, one of the preeminent journals in the discipline of business communication, strives to publish manuscripts that contribute to knowledge and theory of business communication as a distinct, multifaceted field.

“I am excited to be involved with one of the top journals in the area of management communication,” said Walker. “I think my editorship provides USC and the Marshall School an opportunity to become more involved in the cutting-edge research being done in our field. I feel that high-quality business communication research is absolutely essential in understanding the success of organizations and their members, and I’m pleased to say that the research both at JBC and here at our Center for Management Communication is driven by this belief. Robyn Walker earned her Ph.D. in communication at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She is the author of Strategic Business Communication: An Integrated Ethical Approach and a contributing author for the textbook BCOM, which has just been published by Cengage Publishing.
