WHAT: Grand opening of The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at USC, a free mental health clinic that provides high-quality mental health care to the region’s veterans and their families at no cost.

Headquartered in downtown L.A., the clinic will fulfill the unmet mental health needs of veterans and their families through clinical services and by connecting veterans to other resources in the area.

The clinic is a partnership between the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. It is part of a $275 million national investment from Steven A. Cohen and the nonprofit Cohen Veterans Network.

Health professionals will offer services through the clinic at a variety of locations in Los Angeles County as they help veterans and their families transition to civilian life.

  • Kyle White, Medal of Honor recipient and Afghanistan war veteran

MORE: U.S. Army Sgt. Kyle White was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions in Afghanistan. Despite serious danger and injuries, White put his life at risk to render aid to wounded and fallen comrades.
