WHAT: Announcement and signing ceremony for a $50 million gift from philanthropist and retired orthopedic spinal surgeon Gary K. Michelson, M.D. to the University of Southern California to fund the USC Michelson Center for Convergent Bioscience.
The center will be the cornerstone of a new partnership between the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and the USC Viterbi School of Engineering to transform how biomedical research is conducted.
