Los Angeles Times featured a partnership by the USC Dornsife College's Kaya Press, Other Books and Tiny Splendor in Boyle Heights to operate a bookstore, print shop and event space. Kaya Press, which focuses on the "Asian and Pacific Islander diaspora," is housed in the USC Dornsife College's Department of American Studies and Ethnicity. It uses the space to offer author book signings, readings and workshops.

Showtime's "Dark Net" featured Albert "Skip" Rizzo of the USC Institute for Creative Technologies and his work to develop virtual reality-based exposure therapies for veterans and other individuals who suffer from PTSD. Much of Rizzo's work focuses on the clinical applications of virtual reality technology.
