USC To Host Mayor, Green Entrepreneurs on Nov. 16

CleanTech LA, OnGreen and the USC Energy Institute convene venture capitalists and green entrepreneurs in Los Angeles for invitation-only event focused on growing the green economy

WHAT: Building Sustainable Cities Through Green Innovation: A chance for media to talk “green” with 30 venture capitalist and private equity firms, innovative entrepreneurs, corporations, banks, architects, PR and law firms, government agencies and non-profits exploring green technology research and development opportunities in Los Angeles.

The event will showcase five innovative start-ups: Enova Water, Enviro Energies, Enovative Kontrol Systems, Cyber-Rain and Green Wave Energy.

Also featured: an emerging transportation technology from LA-based Kinetic Traction Systems, and a waste-to-energy technology from Ken Nealson, the Wrigley Chair in Geobiology at USC.

Co-sponsor OnGreen will debut an online Patent Exchange where universities and companies can find buyers and partners for their intellectual property.

Through CleanTech LA, Los Angeles has positioned itself to become a world leader in green technology. This networking event combines the public and private ingredients necessary to catalyze green economic growth.
