The African American Experience in Major League Baseball oral history project

Neftalie Williams, Expert in skateboarding business, media and culture; cultural diplomacyNeftalie Williams is the Research and Development Director for the African American Experience in Major League Baseball oral history project at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism’s Institute of Sports, Media and Society. The project aims to collect and preserve the experiences of every living African American baseball player who was in the league between 1947 and 1971.

Williams can speak on the role of race in Major League Baseball from a player’s perspective and the history the game.

Lieberman_JayJay Lieberman is an expert in primary and revision total hip and knee replacement and treatment of osteonecrosis (bone death) of the hip and knee. He is professor and chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and director of the Institute of Orthopaedics at the Keck Medical Center of USC. He is the immediate past president of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
