USC teams up with community groups for Red Cross blood drive

USC and a team of community partners are coming together with the American Red Cross for Heroes United, a blood drive to meet the urgent need for donations in Los Angeles and throughout Southern California. All donor slots are full.

USC Heroes United will help ensure blood products are readily available for patients during the coronavirus crisis.

Blood donations will also be tested for COVID-19 antibodies, providing donors insight into whether they have been exposed to the coronavirus.

Media must RSVP. Face coverings and temperature checks are required.

WHEN : Wednesday, July 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizations and individuals supporting USC Heroes United include the USC Department of Public Safety, USC University Relations, USC Galen Center, USC Transportation, USC Village, Nurses of USC, Congresswoman Karen Bass, Assemblymember Reggie Jones-Sawyer, Councilmember Curren Price, CRSSLA, Los Angeles Urban League, North Area Neighborhood Development Council, the Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Fire Department, and the Los Angeles Sentinel.
