USC dementia conference: Leading aging researchers and neurologists discuss new criteria for Alzheimer’s diagnosis

March 14, 2013

WHAT: The Memory and Aging Center at USC presents the 7th biennial “Many Faces of Dementia” conference, featuring the latest research and clinical information about Alzheimer’s and other degenerative diseases. In particular, the one-day conference will focus on new guidelines from the National Institute on Aging and the Alzheimer’s Association for diagnosing Alzheimer’s, including the role of neuroimaging and how it has changed diagnoses of dementia, dementia in diverse populations and controversial early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and how to distinguish dementia from normal aging.
